Meet Corinne Fhima

Corinne Fhima is a French visual and performance artist whose multidisciplinary practice revolves around self-portraiture through EVE; an avatar, alter ego, and poetic double she has been developing since 2008. Through photography, video, installation, and performance, she explores the complexities of the female body, consumer culture, and ecological anxiety. Her work has been presented internationally in exhibitions and performances at renowned venues including the Centre Pompidou, White Project Gallery, Galerie Baudoin Lebon, Galerie Lara Vincy, 53 Art Museum in China, and Nuit Blanche Paris.

MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST

Corinne’s ongoing project, EVE CLIMATIC DISORDER, lies at the heart of her current practice. In this series, her avatar EVE materialises through fragile, site-specific installations composed of plastic trays, fishing nets, and domestic debris. These ephemeral interventions form a poetic response to ecological anxiety and the absurdity of global waste culture. Corinne sees Malta’s landscapes as the perfect stage for this work — a charged and evocative setting that deepens her exploration of environmental precarity through the haunting presence of EVE.
