Carol Schiraldi

Carol Schiraldi is a visual artist based in the Texas Hill Country whose work uses photography to explore the space between dreams and reality. Through layered exposures and a surreal visual language, she creates archetypal images that reflect memory, identity, and the emotional texture of human experience.

Driven by curiosity, Carol’s work examines how we see, remember, and make meaning from the world around us. She is especially drawn to in-between moments where something shifts and the familiar begins to feel slightly mysterious. Her images often sit between observation and imagination, inviting viewers into a space that feels both personal and universal.

For Carol, photography is as much about the experience of being in the world as it is about the final image. She has stuck her camera inside a tilt-a-whirl, been chased by an angry goose, navigated intense customs lines, and survived more than a few questionable transportation choices, all in pursuit of an image.

During her time at Bored Peach Club, Carol hopes to explore how her layered and surreal approach responds to the landscape and rhythms of Gozo. She plans to experiment freely, follow curiosity, and embrace a bit of artistic chaos while creating new work inspired by the island’s light, textures, and atmosphere.

She is also looking forward to connecting with the local community through conversation, shared perspectives, and a slow iPhone photography walk focused on observation and storytelling.
