Meet Klonn
KLONN’ is the alias/drag persona of multimedia artist Gabriel Chetcuti (he/they). Born and based in Malta, and with a focus on wearable art, their work balances the kitsch, the mythological, and the fanciful – all wrapped into an archetypical fool.
The residency will serve as a ‘quiet’ cultivation period, where by a myriad of new painted faces influenced by the BPC space and its surroundings will be immortalised in artefact form. The culmination of this residency will be a workshop, wherein participants will engage in this practice. The resulting artefacts will be woven together to create a tapestry which converges, displaces and unifies our shared and differing identities.
