Meet Chenyao He (Eva)
The artist will utilise the existing materials and tools available in the residency, as well as natural materials from Gozo, to create site-specific installations that respond to both the residency and the local environment. They will explore the island's history and archives, producing works that reflect their understanding and current artistic philosophy. Engaging deeply with the local community's history, the artist plans to have in-depth conversations with residents to gain a deeper appreciation of the island. Additionally, by conducting workshops, they aim to build connections with the community, offering participants unique experiences informed by their knowledge and techniques.
