A photography partnership
Bored Peach Club × OFF Bratislava*
One photographer. Three weeks in Gozo. Then a show at the atelier.
What this is*
We partnered with OFF Bratislava, an international photography festival and platform for contemporary image-making, to bring one selected photographer to Gozo for a three week residency at the Bored Peach Club House.
OFF Bratislava is known for its curated programme and its focus on emerging and established voices in photography. It creates space for critical dialogue, experimentation and new perspectives across the medium.
Through this collaboration, one artist from the festival's curated selection is invited to step outside the exhibition format and into a slower, more focused environment.
The residency
It takes place in Xagħra, Gozo, where the selected artist develops work over three weeks.
It ends the way things should: a public presentation at the Bored Peach Club Atelier.
Portfolio review day*
As part of the collaboration we're hosting a one day portfolio review at the house with Sára Jeleňová, curator at OFF Bratislava and FOG Gallery, and PhD candidate in aesthetics at Comenius University.
Sára's work sits where photography, perception and meaning meet, and looks at how images communicate beyond language. Chances like this are rare in Malta, especially with that level of curatorial depth and an international point of view.
